And the worst part is, I probably misspelled that last part.
Where do some people get the idea that just because two shows have elements in common--a ship of mercenaries, say, or female vampire hunters--that one must have ripped off the other?
But enough about IMDB trolls. Of which there are an infinite supply. On to more pleasant topics.
Saw Goblet of Fire this evening on IMAX. Just got back, in fact. Unlike Aaron, I literally have only good things to say. By which I mean I figuratively have only good things to say--the good outweighs the bad enough for the latter to be inconsequential.
Voldemort: Excellently serpentine, surprisingly charming and wry, and creepy as hell tearing off Death Eater's masks. (On that note, the DE's costumes were clearly KKK inspired. The skull masks were awesome.)
Mad-Eye Moody/Barty Crouch, Jr. stole the show. I look forward to seeing more of the real Moody in Order of the Phoenix.
Igor Karkaroff should play Rasputin sometime. He has excellent teeth.
Yule Ball--looked like Homecoming to me. Ostensibly classy, ends up like most any other 'dance.' The tension was beautifully done. Props to Emma Watson, as the slang goes. Just a pity that they couldn't put in the broken Krum figurine.
However, certain key points of the Skeeter subplot were unresolved. This is understandable, but may cause a certain amount of convolution around certain points in Order of the Phoenix.
...That's all I got.
