Today, pretty much. 10 days out for light listening (today I listened to the NPR All Songs Holiday Special voluntarily), heavy listening (more than 40 min) for the days I have off for Christmas ONLY, not extending beyond Christmas (so this year, from the 23rd, after work to 25th until I go to sleep.)

There is a REALLY NICE free Christmas song at http://www.poly-styrene.com/

I listened to the Superions stuff because I heard it earlier this week and it's kind of funny/borderline mean to make other people listen to it.

My fucking coworkers started listening to Christmas music on Nov. 1. Essentially, they start at 5 AM and the Christmas music doesn't end until Captain Kirk leaves at 3:30. After that, I can listen to my own shit with no interference... before that, I listen to other stuff to cockblock the Christmas music. (We are not allowed to wear headphones for saftey reasons.) For the rest of the year, mostly they play a variety of stuff, and it's ok.

I did get a break for about 40 minutes yesterday because I gave the moneymaker a copy of the Cee Lo album, and she cranked Fuck You, in between carols. It was sweet.

Thanks, I love Poly Styrene. I love "Fuck You" also-- might be the flagship track on this year's V-Day mix.

It's suuuuper catchy, and also fun to sing.

I know I sound OCD about Christmas music. Really I just try to wait, so I don't get burned out on it. However, due to the bullshit at work, I'm already like 'EVERY TIME I HEAR WHAM'S 'LAST CHRISTMAS,' which is six times a day at least, I THINK IT SOUNDS LIKE BARRY MANILOW'S CAN'T SMILE WITHOUT YOU, AM I RIGHT OR WHAT?!?' I think I am scaring people.

I like the Poly Styrene song and it's awesome that so far I've heard it TWICE EVER. Stay special Poly Styrene Christmas song! If it gets on the Xmas radio, I will have no choice, I will have to start hating it too.
