The goings on of late...
Well, the story (Chapter 3 of Not So Ordinary Day) is progressing nicely of late. I've just punched through the magical 6th page mark and that's not even including the Hinata scenes that are supposed to accompany the Kiba ones. I'm unsure how many pages we'll be looking at once those get combined together in the end.
It was Fallacy that had pointed out to me that the path I was taking on the fic was messy. In reflection, he was right. It was fast becoming a jumbled mass of random comedic scenes being flung left and right with no rhyme or reason -- a common happening in some Naruto fics that I myself found annoying, yet almost recreated.
Go figure.
Chapter 3 is focused on Kiba's clan -- the Inuzuka -- and I'm fleshing things out here and there in relation to that. Specifically, I'm messing around with characterization on his family, like his sister at the moment, as well as creating an original character. We'll see what reaction the character garners from the readership.
From my recollection, there was nothing for me to follow in the contents of the manga, regarding what his family is like so I'm kind of free floating and taking liberties as I see fit. I *think* they made an appearance in the anime, but... well, the anime makes me want to claw my eyes out so I guess I'm not going to be following canon characterization.
C'est la vie.
The Ranma 1/2 -- Fate/Stay Night fic is progressing well so far. I have the sucker plotted out from beginning to end, although there are still a few glaring holes in the story that I'm working on patching up with the rest of my #night crew on IRC. I have high hopes for the story, personally, so I guess we'll see how that all works out in the end.
Anyhow, back to writing.
