maybe it's cuz I'm a minority, too?
People keep bringing up the fact that Obama's our first black president.
But honestly, I keep forgetting the guy's black until this happens. I seriously don't think of the dude as black. I think of him as...just a person; a leader of our country. Does it really matter what color he is?
I'm sure it's exciting to many that we have our first black prez, but not me. Maybe it's cuz I grew up in the generation where elders always preached "it doesn't matter what race you are". Or maybe I just don't notice his skin color as much cuz I'm a minority as well, but...to me, he's not black!
He's Barack Obama. And he's our new president.
And besides, he's only half-black, anyway!
