[Accidental Audio-Video]

[The PCD is jostled on to audio in time for an almighty crash to register. It skitters across the ground, cracks against a stone, and the video function is triggered. Break is on his hands and knees on the street, looking more irritated than anything else. He pats his pockets, realizes the device is missing, and sighs

[A curse and he's off to find Break. This event stopped being funny.]

[Break has just found the PCD as Zuko makes it there, and has tucked it back into his pocket, and found his cane. He's searching for a curb, now, or the side of a building, determinedly trying to orient himself on the street. It isn't easy, when you can't hear he footsteps of people going either way. The wind helps- but it's too changeable and soft today to be worth much.]

[He stoops in front of Break, slowly, to rest a hand on the man's shoulder.]

Break?

[He says it quietly, but clearly. By the way the man is moving, it's obvious he's lost what remains of his sight or his hearing. Marvelous.]

[No response to the sound- but the touch startles him badly. He makes a wild swing through the air with the cane, half likely to just miss him entirely, blind and unable to even judge the position of his head by the sound of his voice.]

[It's lucky that Zuko is used to having to move quickly or face the consequences, because he jerks his head backwards with a started yelp.]

Break -- dammit, you can't hear anything --

[He quickly rolls his wrist to create a ball of fire in his hand, to hopefully catch what remains of the man's sight.]

It's Zuko, I'm not going to hurt you.

[Break's gaze flickers sharply. He looks at the spot of light in his vision, and reaches toward it tentatively- pulling his hand away quickly at the heat.]

Zuko?

[Slurred, and over-loud. He can't hear himself speak it, even though he remembers how.]

[Offline]

[And the flame is gone, replaced by Zuko's warm hand on his shoulder to shake it slightly.]

Yeah. Come on.

[Offline]

[mister_hatter]

[Break nods, and takes a step forward, ready to follow him. The clinic is optional- really, he just wants to be somewhere sheltered.]

[Zuko has Break's forearm in a hand to guide him, to make sure he doesn't trip and run into anything. He's not sure how to ask Break what he wants, but it looked like he was heading to the clinic. So he will.]

Event?

[He manages to say, quietly. Please, God, let it be an event.]

[He squeezes his arm once. Yes. An event.]

[Break murmurs in ragged relief. Good.]

[Break is still waiting expectantly.]

[He gently tugs Break along, moving him out of the way of any obstacles along the way.]

This event sucks after all, I guess.

[Not that Break can hear, but it makes Zuko feel better.]

[Break makes an agreeable sound- no idea what's being said, just a hunch.]
