Friends are inconsequential in this dimension. I suppose one might call Dom or James friend if they were in my position but I’m pretty sure the level of betrayal we are capable of here is against the definition of what mortals call friend. What makes a friend? Is it trust? Trust that is earned over time? How much time? Should we call everyone we’ve put this ‘trust’ in friend?
Most mortals in this dimension consider friends as true, when really they are merely sycophants trailing along after each other in hopes someone else can give them something. Humans talk of give and take relationships and equality among friends but really no relationship is equal. Someone is always the giver and someone else is the taker, I prefer to take.
So when you speak to me of friends I will laugh in your face. Friendship is a farce. I suppose it will always be as such.
Mortals will do anything to convince themselves they aren’t being screwed, literally and figuratively. Honestly though, what’s the point in lying down and taking it? Human’s I’ll never understand them.
