#1 I'm sure I spotted one of the plimptons being served in Gina's café during tonight's show
#2 What is up with the stylistic changes that seem to go out of the way to make River City shiter than it was before (wits that automatically want to now post, "how could it get more shite than it already was" can jog on).

#2 What is up with the stylistic changes that seem to go out of the way to make River City shiter than it was before (wits that automatically want to now post, "how could it get more shite than it already was" can jog on).
- previously on river city & coming up on river city - what's the point it's not holby or dallas
- being shot differently, probably on cheaper digital tape, makes the sets seem really fake
- seeming rushed and under rehearsed, previously ok actors now seem very stagey and hammy
- new director syndrome, steady cam shots, pointless pans, over use of tracking shots
- incidental music !!! that yet again then becomes a song on the radio
- comedy routines, eg hiding from a priest to put holy water in a voddy bottle
- much less convincing dialogue
- cost cutting measures, eg allowing a take to be used even though the actors go over each others dialogue
- trying to be quirky like corrie instead of being River City, it all seems so forced
