This morning as I was parking my car, I found myself recalling an argument I had on usenet several years ago with a C library implementor regarding the proper handling of escape sequences such as \g in printf and similar functions. I mentally composed a snippet of code which would illustrate the validity of my position and the utter bogosity of the other guy's position. I even briefly considered emailing it to him.
I'm pretty sure no one cares.
