Kinkos is the most awesome place in the world.

Not only can you smell crisp paper with an orgasmic burst the moment you step inside and feel the warm freshly printed papers in mass quantities, with ink still so fresh it smears when you gently caress the bold black and white print, but the staff is friendly and extremely helpful.

Today at approximately 10:31 pm, September 10th, 2004 (the day before game day, excitement was already building) I needed the assistance of this oasis, set amongst the over priced food places of college starvation, hidden behind the grander of the movie borrowing establishment. Many overlook its importance; many might criticize its power over evergreens. I say good riddance to those who would rather jump into a pile of leaves rather than paper shreddings.

I walked in, determined not to be distracted by the array colorful office supplies and ink pens. I failed, walking to the bins of paper, admiring the quality of each one. Balloons looked as if they could float off the page, flower borders almost needed watering. Even the star invitations seemed to be inspiring my very existence, inviting me to take hold of life from a new direction.

The printer was broken, the one I needed anyway; the one that cost 8 cents a page. Since, I had excess of 80 Geographic outlined study guide pages, I could not afford much more. The only thought that saved me was the prospect of coming back.

Yet, the man behind the counter would not let me down. He was the knight in shining armor behind that blue and kaki uniform. In the corner, where the good printing paper was kept, my key to a hard copy study guide lay. It took 49 cents a page, more for color. I did not need color so I was more concerned with the 49 cents. The total would have been over fifty six dollars (with tax and computer time). He gave it to me for the price of the cheaper (9 dollars). Such a generous act has permanently established Kinkos in the heart of my hearts.

The quality is incredible and sturdy. I know that kindness exists behind the print. I am encouraged to study more just to be reminded that there are still some people out there who are generous. In summary, Kinkos is one cool place.

I want to do something to thank them, like bake cookies or something. Any ideas?
