You're catnip to a girl like me
I've finally started watching the X-files again. I got mad after I discovered BBC America only had the first two seasons and despite downloading seasons 3-6 I hadn't watched them. But now I am woo woo.
And I finished reading Mastiff by Tamora Pierce last night. So awesome. If you love young adult fantasy and you haven't read anything by Tamora Pierce there is seriously something wrong with your life. :p Her writing is so immersive and wonderful.
Other updates in my life include lots of excellent family time. Got to spend some quality time with my favourite little cousin recently. He's growing up so fast (he's ten now)!
And now, because I can't resist them, an icon meme! This one is interactive so here you go:

An icon of Lady Une from Gundam Wing, one of my favourite characters in the show and in anime in general. And red is my fav colour. Especially darker shades like the colour of Une's uniform.

Years ago I used to follow this Tolkien-world role playing LJ (then greatest journal, then insane journal because they moved around) community and one of the characters used this model for all her icons and I took a few because they're gorgeous.
Megamind please talk slower
This is from the movie Megamind and made by an artist I like (she's done great fanart for Avatar: the Last Airbender, Megamind, Star Trek, and other things) irrel. The line is from the movie and Roxanne says it to Megamind while he slowly spins his chair around the chair she is tied to and taunts her while speaking very slowly to which Roxie responds "please talk slower." Great movie. :D

This is of Wanda/Scarlet Witch (Magneto's baby girl YO) from X-men. I always liked her in X-Men: Evolution and one time a friend and I were discussing X-men together and he asked me who I think he'd be if he was an X-men character and when I asked him the same he said "Scarlet Witch" for whatever reason so it obviously made me even more interested in the character.
