I am insane for staying up this late... probably.
I just had to pop in for a moment to firmly express the fact that I don't regret all the time I've spent reading fanfiction over the years. It isn't the same as reading the classics... and most people wouldn't likely regard fanfiction as intellectually stimulating or worthwhile.
However, I beg to differ!
I also feel the need to point out that comic books that involve characters that have been around since the 40s are essentially fanfiction.
Plus, I probably wouldn't have been able to have read half as much as I have without free fanfiction being available to me. If the internet didn't exist I would probably just live in the library.
Excellent Nyota Uhura character study fic I was reading (and the subject of my entry is from this). And now... I will finally allow my body to sleep. It's crying out for it while part of me shouts, "No, no! Let's read more!"
