so I got the job at Olive Garden (In case you didn't know, I reapplied because Hannah Delap told me that two hosts quit so they needed some people).
I have to go through one week of training
and let me tell you...
its the best training ever
i have to try every entree, including the deserts
all week
so I can know how each food tastes.
Yesterday was my first day of training.
We ate the appetizers, salads, dips, pizzas, and soups.
It took us four hours to taste everything.
it was like a big feast
All I did was sit, eat, and chat--and got paid for it.
Today I think we are trying a few of the deserts and some classic recipes.
I'm excited, and starving! I was told not to eat anything so I can go there hungry.
There are two other girls training in there, to be servers. What sucks for them is they have to memorize what they are eating, and how it taste, and what the contents of each entree are. I dont though because I'm just a host. I get to sit back and relax and eat.
I also got my uniform yesterday. I look adorable in it. hahahahaha
and My tie is cool.
After this week of training, I began my new job as an official hostess.
I stand at the front and say "Welcome to Olive Garden"
and thats it.
I get paid $7/hour for it too =]
