well you know what? you still eat the fish.. is it a crime for me to only eat the fish and nothing else.. hell, alot of vegetarians still eat chicken as well as the fish..
I am not saying that fish is not an animal just as everything else is.. I know how fish are killed and cleaned.. I've seen it in person..
Wow, you wanna back off a little bit on the defensiveness?
I have no qualms with eating fish and meat. But you're saying you won't eat the meat because of the way they are treated, yet fish is fine? If I were being that hypocritical, you could throw it back in my face, but I'm not. I'm just pointing out that your intolerance for animal cruelty should extend to all creatures instead of just the ones primarily targeted as "victims" of animal cruelty.
I do not understand why it is that I am being ridiculed for eating a fucking fish just because I will not touch any thing else from this day on.. it makes no sense to me.. I wont be eating fish every bloody day.. BUT it will be the only form of meat that I will in the future.. so excuse me for eating a sea creature instead of animals that and 'grade "a" pure' when most died of a disease.. or any other cruel death because of man
All I'm saying is that fish die cruel deaths at the hands of man as well. They are raised with the soul purpose of being eaten. That's just the same as a cow or a pig or a chicken. I wasn't "ridiculing" you, I was trying to argue a point that I've argued with other "vegetarians" in the past. You were the one who got defensive, which is something I've noticed you do in, oh, 95% of the comments you respond to.
there is a reason that I am very defensive in every comment.. if you do not like that way I respond.. or do not liek the way I choose to live (or eat).. dont read my journal and take my off of your friends list.. seriously.. do you think I will notice much?
Don't try to play all mysterious and "I have a reason to be defensive" ... I too am very defensive but I just merely ASKING for my own enlightment. Chill out, for Christ's sake.
Do you think I really care that you wouldn't notice? Unlike most of your fawning admirers, I don't really care whether or not you view me as a friend. I'm sorry if my lack of devotion offends you.
I was just trying to figure out more about your choice.
I'm not playing mysterious when I say that I have a reason..
and ohh.. you dotn even see 95% of the comments I respond to because your not added on the journal in which I get majority of my comments from..
I could go with out eating the fish if it would shut your mouth.. but it'll be nice to get a little more protein in my diet once in a while though...
anyone on this journal's friend's list does not mean I view them as a friend.. or talk to them.. or even know who they are.. this journal is for the nosey people that want to continue to read my journal..
I was on the other journal, and I tried to talk to you on IM and get to know you better, and you totally blew me off, took me off that journal, and reduced me to this public one. I wasn't particularly insulted, but I just had to wonder. I tried to be nice and maybe even make friends, and for some reason you deemed me unworthy. So I HAVE seen the way you respond to comments, and for some reason you jumpt to the defense in the majority of them.
And by the way, I have a friend who eats an entirely vegetarian diet, no meat of ANY kind, so if you'd like to talk to her about getting protein and whatnot, this is her livejournal, contact her through there -- http://www.livejournal.com/~seeinglife
Most fish only have a thought span of 30 seconds. So when they die, they've been dying their whole lives. Whereas any land animal you might find's thought span is just like ours.
And a fish's lifespan doesnt even compare to that of a land animal.
