I close my eyes and see numbers floating around
My feature is looking optimistic again. Mansfield Dam looks like it will be okay to film after all after a chat with the park operator. Homeland Security will not stop me! It's weird planning for something that is almost a year a way but this is what I have to do. I'm getting further along in the funding process. Almost done with the TX Filmmakers Production Fund grant. With the current budget estimate, its the only grant I need. I am looking out for more grants, but haven't found much yet. I'm going to have three fundraisers in the fall as well.
The most exciting news so far is an email I received back from Mike Vallely, expressing interest in taking part in the film as long as his travel and such is paid for. He's been a hero of mine since childhood and he would fit right in with the overall mood of RoughRider.
However, I try not to get my hopes up because if I don't get this grant, I'm in for a real challenge. If I do get it then it will be my time to shine and I promise everyone one hell of a movie.
