I found out the fireworks were at 9:30 pm, not 8:30 pm, so I hopped on my skateboard and went to see if I could catch the #20 downtown. I wanted to go to Erin and I's secret place to watch (she's out of town) but on the way I ran into my cousins who live in my neighborhood. They were heading downtown and I jumped in the car with them. We went to the top of a 325 foot skyscraper (I know facts about almost every building in Austin) and watched the fireworks from there. My cousin works there so that's how we got up. We could see the fireworks up close and clear. It was an amazing site and to the left, it was neat seeing the fireworks reflect off of the Frost Bank Tower windows. Within the next 3 years that view will be blocked by 3 new 400 + ft skyscrapers. I wish my camera wasn't broken.
