And then Ulysses, Tim, and I carried all the picnic benches from the cafeteria to a far off place near a tree, and stacked them in a pyramid so as to make it possible to climb that tree. We replaced the benches with a lone armchair in the middle of the field, and threw a tablecloth plus salt and pepper over the topmost bench. In the morning we claimed it for breakfast.
