drink it down till the sun comes up
so now i'll throw an entry in to catch y'all up on life since spring break. this week has gone by so fast. one moment in driving j to the airport at 5 in the morning, the next im watching forever eden at work, and now im here in the pendelton center typing this out. i just had my midterm intern advisor meeting. we just talked about my new boss, meeting elijah, plans for the summer, and l.a. in general. no big deal, but i had to get here early since i forgot what time i actually scheduled it for. turns out it was actually at 2:30, but he was free so we just got it done. i have class at 2:45 later, so im just killing time till that. after that im hopefully going to see eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (gotta get my elijah fix) with jamie and her emerson friends. yes, thats right, i am now a diplomatic representative of ithaca to emerson, or something like that. but more on that in a second, lets backtrack first.
sunday night i put the vampyre red in all over my head to even things out and tone them down for work. i dont think the blonde pacman surrounded by wildfire would have gone over too well at work (oh i just remembered, j and i stopped my the office on 311 day to show my bosses the pictures from the best buy event, yeah worked when blazed is fun). nothing too crazy's happened this week otherwise, a bunch of us went to big boys one night, buttos been hanging out with her family out here all this week so ive been hanging out with jamie alot more.
just to clarify for those ic people, and if i haven't covered this before, jamie interns on my floor in the legal dept at newline. we carpool to work (thank you so much, god i hate the bus). since j and i went through 1/2 in 10 days, ive been pretty short lately. jamie's had the decency to keep me stoned though, thanks! she came over one night and me her and butts used her friends gasmask piece. holy shitcamel. it was something else. you put the mask on, and screw a little bong onto the end of the hose. someone lights that while you toke (with your eyes closed, this thing fills up with smoke so your just baking your head). after that you just breathe normally till you've cleared it all out. its a trip. and the bong that comes with it is hot on its own.
so back to last night. i was kinda beat from work so i was just hanging around my room and was gonna crash at some point. jamie called and invited me to a party some of her friends were having. now i could give a fuck about st. patricks day, i could give a fuck about alot of things, but my desire to not be around my roomate won. so off we went. it was a bit intense at first, but i met a bunch of cool people. when they found out i was an ithaca guy they all said something along the lines of "oh one of those people huh?" so i quickly informed everyone that i basically dont hang out with anyone in my major. i didnt feel like drinking, but had a really good time anyway. its always fun to be thrown into a new group of people. so overall good times watching people funnel beers, play 80s music, and there were a couple cuties there (one fag who lives next door to me). so emerson kids get an official "okay" from me. me jamie and her friend shannon (i think thats her name, shes really cool, reminds me of my old friend rachael but none of you know her, so whatever) went back to shannons place and smoked the gas mask bong, sans gas mask. shes got a bunch of pictures of elijah and jude on her wall, obviously i approve.
so overall emerson kids get an official "okay" from me. i'll probably see a bunch of them tonight at the movie. im glad im making other friends too. without butto around this week, ive really been a bump on a log, so this is a nice change. plus i can get stuff from jamie (and its damn good, j can attest to that) so it kills a few birds with one grenade. even though ive been out for a while, ive kept up smoking with jamie a few times, but i gotta get my own stash back up again. hopefully tonight, but at least before the weekend. well i think thats all i got. ill keep yall posted on developments with the emerson crew. ill probably invite a bunch of them to boxed wine night (and i bet i wont even get in trouble this time...) so that should be cool. alrighty, i think im done now.
