It's snowing in the marina. A camera, a camera, oh my kingdom for a digital camera!...with 5x optical zoom...and 6.1 megapixels...and lots of memory storage...ah hell, I'll just make a sketch.
Did manage to use my neighbor's Canon A540 yesterday afternoon - the ice formations on the dock furthest from shore were pretty interesting. Didn't have it on hand when folks started going down the giant iced-over slide in the waterpark. One guy showed up in his parachuter crash helmet and slid down on his welcome mat. Got to the top myself and decided not to go - hit the top of that thing before, when the coefficient of friction was significantly higher (alright, I'm a chicken). Apparently one of the 2 regular dock hands (Gary) took some buddies and they rode it in the dead of night until 1 am. The entire set of stairs was iced over, don't know how the hell they did it (ok, they had to have been seriously drunk).
It's pretty sweet - definitely need to borrow the Canon sometime soon and upload pics. Words fail at the moment - I'll put that off to all the Lone Star.
