STAH WORS and ART CRITIQUES

REAL LIFE NEWS:

Episode 3 = goodness. Very nice special effects, music, sound, and all that. Acting still sucked, but hey. Anakin was hot in this one, I'll admit, Carlye. X3 I certainly liked his hair better. General Greivous was awesome. Yes. So. Very good movie.

Got freaked out at a "War of the Worlds" trailer, though... AAAHHHH... scary. I hate apocolypse movies. Well, "Day After Tomorrow" was cool, but in general... just... AHHHHH.

So yes. Fun.

ART NEWS:

So! Here's what I got back from my critiquers:

MATT SAID: He likes my style, and he wants to see more Elements and eXiled. More detailed backgrounds.

TSAR SAID: Develop style a bit more. Lay of eXiled a little, see some different ideas.

VICKI SAID: Other types of art (painting, sculptures, etc.). And if not, varied backgrounds/designs/frames and such.

AKIKODATE SAID: Make coloring a bit softer/shinier. Tweak style.

MITCH SAID: Wants to see more traditional art. Spiffier backgrounds. More CG-ing detail (folds in clothing, detailed hair, a little more shading).

KATE SAID: Thinner lines in lineart. More detail/shading in hair.

So what I'll probably wind up doing is more traditional art, of non-eXiled related things. I should really get outside and just sketch the stuff around me. Maybe now is the time to start doing "Till Death Do Us Part" characters, as well as some of my Old Concepts. Or maybe I could do some illustrations from my novels, I dunno. I could also do some random stuff that's not related to anything at the time being.

I figure what I'll do this week is maybe take a walk around the neighborhood and either sketch or take lots of pictures and sketch off of those.

I know this new jumpstart in my art will take a long time and a lot of effort, but I'm willing to face it. I want to improve and I want to be the very best I can be. Cheesy and cliched, I know, but whatever. ^-^

And if any of YOU guys (that is to say, non-DA-goers) have any critiques, feel free to critique! ^^
