I must be the worst updater ever

It's so true, I never actually write what I say I will. I'm too easily distracted. Or I've just got too much homework and essays to do.

Okay, so here's the current rundown:
- The Fires Within is on it's sixth(?) banner, but the new chapter is still not done. I've gotten about 1400 words written, most of which is a little scene between Grimm and McGonagall. The majority of the chapter, however, will be about Sirius Black. Since I do have a little bit of trouble writing him, it might take longer than usual to finish up.

- Following the Footsteps hasn't been added to in the last week or so. It looks as though I'll have to push myself to get it done, not that I mind. I pushed myself to write the chapter about Peter and that turned out really well, hopefully it'll be the same way with Lily. My goal for this chapter is around 2000 words, so depending on how much writing time I get, this story will be done by the end of the month.

Those are the two stories I'll update this month. In April, even with exams, I will have time to write on my days off (since my exams are nicely spaced out). Both Diamond in the Rough and The Adventure of the American Heiress will therefore be updated then. Doing two updates per month sounds like a good idea - at the end of the year I should have most of my stories complete or nearly so. =)

Now, I do have an idea for another one-shot - a companion to Afterglow - which will be from Snape's point of view. It'll be an answer to Lucid's "Forbidden Love" challenge on HPFF. The storyline will be slightly similar to Afterglow, except all the "deleted scenes" will be shown, such as Hermione's full rescue and perhaps some of what happened after the ending. ;-) I'm thinking of calling this one Seeing is Believing.

I won't make any promises, but I will try as hard as I can to get all these things written. =)
