It's neither of those things -- at least, it's neither of them for me. They're both far too extreme.

Then perhaps you should look past my hyperbole and answer with whatever's closest. Are you happy to come back to school?

Not particularly. I don't mind school, but I prefer being home, as I'm sure most students do.

Oh, I'm not sure about that, there seem to be quite a few who are happy to be here. I imagine their families must not be as pleasant as yours.

No, they must not be. Holidays also have the advantage of a lack of schoolwork and a chance to get away from your classmates, though.

They do even if you stay at school, though. I always enjoy having a break from nearly everyone.

I'd still rather be around my mother and sisters than a small group of bored schoolchildren.

Then your family must be very pleasant. It's not difficult to ignore the other bored schoolchildren.

For a student like you, perhaps, but it isn't so easy for a prefect.

It's lucky I'll never be a prefect, in that case. Although I'm sure I'd be an excellent one.

Would you? It takes a very specialized skill set.

mist_illusions May 2 2011, 08:59:59 UTC
Does it really? And here I'd come to believe that if Link can do it, anyone can.

He's perfectly capable with his duties, as a matter of fact.

Except when he gets talked into breaking rules, which seems surprisingly easy. Aren't you prefects supposed to be a good example for the rest of us?

That was Puck's fault, not Link's.

Reply

mist_illusions May 4 2011, 07:32:47 UTC
Oh, is that so? I wasn't aware Puck had forced him to do anything. Or is it just that prefects don't have to take responsibility for the trouble they get into?
