She slaps him, the sting pricking at his skin, and speaks firmly; chiding him, the naughty boy.
He looks up to her, ignoring the pain. None of this is real. Gina had been, though. It's time for the end of dreams; he wishes her away with thoughts of her other. The version in his mind doesn't disappear - maybe he doesn't need her to.
All that's necessary for her to lose is for him to stop listening, stop caring; care for someone else, someone infinitely better. Not because she's real but because she can care too - isn't trying to guide him somewhere, instead letting them be.
He sinks into the chair, closes his eyes, ignoring her screams. All he needed was to let go, she can't hold this grip on her own, not forever. He might not have control but soon neither will she.
