i know who i want to take me home
so i'm just writing to let everyone know that my life is well on its way back to how it was last year. meaning i'm falling asleep in class, and spending 4.5 hours at the library socializing and only reading about 10 pages of my text. and i easily hold the title for most embarassing moment last weekend, times two [that could be a bad sign]. but it doesn't really matter, because i'm so happy with second year. i just feel more comfortable overall with everything i'm doing this year. i'm taking courses i've chosen, am capable of doing well in, and am actually ahead in. i'm living with my best friend in the apartment we picked out, which is incredible. i know what i'll be doing in the next few weeks and what goes on here at uva. i'm eating healthy now that i'm not forced on a meal plan.... and obviously i made the most of first year at the time, but i'm so glad to be a second year now.
oh yes, and now i am NINETEEN! finally! my birthday weekend was a lot of fun - friday megan hicks & i went shopping, then later katherine & i introduced her to the amusement of DU, which she greatly appreciated and definitely enhanced. highlight of the weekend right there! saturday was the first football game and infinitely better than any last year, esp b/c katherine and i made it out to the frats beforehand and were able to find plenty of our friends on the hill. then saturday night katherine and i went out together, after driving around to watch the packs of first years go out before 10. and sunday my mother brought my ipod down here for me, which i am already so in love with :) shortly after she left, megan hicks came over and distracted me from work all evening, and listened to me and katherine complain. ps megan = the unofficial roommate in the land of colors. c-unit represent ;) haha but seriously, i've seen megan so much this year and now i don't know what i would do without her! it's really weird how now that we do not all live in dorms, i see most people so much less. i mean i see katherine a lot because she's my roommate, but then there are days like today where i didn't see her at all until 11.30 pm. and i don't see zoe much outside of econ lecture. hence why my social scene centers around clemons, where i saw megan [obvi], steph salter, natalie, xxx, and roody tonight. so hot right now! okay i should get to sleep so i stay awake in class tomorrow, as if that's possible ;)
