I learnt that sacrifices meant nothing when they were made to meet our expectations.

yet we are fond of questioning ourselves the need to sacrifice for something that should not be expected.

and with expectations, we should be prepared to face disappointments, if any.

conclusion: sacrifice from within and have no expectations, henceforth there should be no room for disappointments as well.

as much as I wish to be this idealistic, I am human, after all.
