Gorgeous!
So this was my weekend as a single girl in the City. Oliver had to go to Munich for business and left on Friday so he could spend the weekend with his family (added bonus: it was his Dad's birthday).
I had a night of debauchery with Ambrogina and Jude on Friday night. Our "let's grab a drink before the movie" turned into a "let's grab several drinks and sing in the cab ride home." Given the gorgeous weather, I bought a great bouquet of flowers to arrange in various vases throughout the apartment. Met up with Dona to have dinner at Uva, which was lovely in terms of the food and conversation. By 10 AM, I put on my pajamas and jumped into bed with Henry the VIII (or his biography).
Ate brunch with Ambrogina outside today before walking down to Bloomingdales and the Container Store to pick up a few things for the apartment. What a glorious day!
Spoke to Oliver yesterday and today and they are enjoying similar weather in Germany. I'm glad he got to enjoy some warm weather as well. I hope it holds out for the ballgame next weekend.
Nothing else going on. My parents are going to Hawaii next weekend, so I'm on Grandma-duty for the week. It also puts a bit of a kibosh on apartment duties, but we'll make due. We're aiming to be fully in the apartment (cat and all) before Memorial Day. Here's hoping!
