This is a long one..
Friday:
Started out with 11 of us at the airport.. (Les Hormones, Eric, and Joe happened to be on the same flight as the rest of us)
Got to Seattle, and 6 of us headed to Betsy and Johnny's house. Betsy was super sick, so we borrowed her car to get food (cramming 6 of us into her volvo wasn't easy)
Got some good sandwiches at Smarty Pants in Georgetown.
http://www.smartypantsseattle.com/ Spent some time and money at Georgetown records..
http://www.georgetownrecords.net Zack noted (with digust) that they had turned the Rainier Brewing company into Tully's coffee headquarters.. and replaced the "R" with a "T"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainier_Brewing_Companyhttp://www.historylink.org/essays/output.cfm?file_id=2523 Drove by a lot of creepy ass pro-life billboards
http://www.prolifewashington.org/archive.html Went back to the house and hung out with Lulu and Opal
Witnessed some hot "dog on dog" action....we caught the 2 dogs ..ummm... 69'ing? (small dog under big dog.. small dog's face in big dog's crotch).. that was disturbing...and hilarious.
Went to the Comet for Les Hormones, Fe Fi Fo Fums, the Pets, and Cute Lepers
http://www.myspace.com/thecomettavern Dan's got some pictures of the show on flickr..
http://flickr.com/photos/dan10things/ We ate Dick's before and after the show..

We spent some quality time sitting around Johnny and Betsy's house and then got the rental van to drive to Portland. We drove through a snowstorm.. and I learned about the Washington "bermuda triangle".. the one section between Seattle and Portland.. where if anything could possibly go wrong on your drive, it'll most likely happen here.
When we got to Portland, we spent a couple of hours dropping people off, getting lost, and then driving some more. Johnny was with us, and he came down with Betsy's flu/cold during the drive. By the time we dropped him off at his friend's house, he had the chills, and couldn't stop sneezing and blowing his nose. The rest of us were downing vitamins in an attempt to combat all of the germs we had proably inhaled in van. Last I heard, the fums had to cancel their show and he went back to Seattle. Poor guy... it sounded like a terrible flu/cold.
ok.. i'm running out of steam here..
We got to Slabtown.. and thank god that Portland bars have to serve food all night. I was starving!
So many people there from CA! Ridiculous!
Justyn, Candy, and Tracy had all been there for hours and had 'reminders' written all over their hands and arms with red and black marker (or lipstick?) One of Justyn's hands read "that sucks!" the other one read "that's rad!" as well as "Don't feed Sarah any more shots" written on his forearm (Tracy's arm read: "Eat shit").. I think he had alarm clock reminders on the back of his hands.. somehow I doubt that these reminders helped very much..
Les Hormones Merch Table flyer..
Ray (Buzzer/Impediements) and Chris O (Epic Sessions/Killers Kiss)
Pets
Joe (ex-Spits.. MC Extraordinaire)
Tracy and Sara (Hunches?)
Aaron, Ken, Matty, Clark
Mike Lucas (in yellow)
Joe, Eric, Ken, and Ken's wife (i don't want to screw up the spelling of her name)
We found Ken and his wife, and they took us off to the SE side of town, where we slept in their spare room. We hit the "Tick Tock around the Clock" for 3am breakfast.
Tick Tock Around the Clock 11215 SE Division St , Portland, OR 97266 (Map).
They told us about their neighbor whose son was cooking meth in a trailer in the front yard.. I also saw their female neighbor (midget? dwarf?) scooting around the yard on a skateboard.
Sunday:
We drove by this on the way to getting some vietnamese food for lunch:
The next morning Dan and Marissa picked us up so we could get Zack to the airport (where he sat for 6 hours, because his flights kept getting delayed).
We did some shopping, got some food and then met up with Eric, Joe, Colin, and my friends Meegan and Tom at the Magic Garden Strip club in Old Town/Chinatown
http://www.barflymag.com/bar/magic-gardens.html After playing some video poker, watching some naked ladies, and then watching Joe, Eric, and Colin eating Lo Mein in the front row, while watching naked ladies.. it was time to move on. I went with Meegan and Tom to another bar, got some food and drinks, and then we headed to their house.. where I got my first real night's sleep in many days (on an actual bed!)
the next day I walked around portland.
The Graybar seems to have lost a letter..
And the sign pointing to the Elephant Deli (where Meegan works) has the elephant's tail pointing out so it looks like the elephant's dick. nice.
.. i lived in that neighborhood for a month a long time ago..
we hit greennoise to visit ken.. and then got some food and I hit the airport.
the end!
