i got a new job. i'm excited
it's a real job--i work with like 38 year old men in a small satellite office in fountain valley. it's an online marketing company, specifically they do search engine marketing for mostly the entertainment industry. they have about 40 projects going on right now, including stuff for mazda and the movie "just friends." (with ryan reynolds who is hot).
so basically i do office admin work, calling clients, organizing meetings, doing research, using my 'designer's eye' to edit documents to ensure that they communicate effectively...go to client meetings and take notes, etc. so a lot of random things. they're transitioning from a startup company to something major, so there's lots of opportunity for growth. i can also go into sales or start doing web designs.
i'm not doing too well at my shoe job anyway. i mess up a bunch of little things because they never really told me exactly how they do things at their store and i never really bothered to ask. i just dont have a passion for it.
i had an amazing passion for nine west. it sucks that they were a shitty company. i've worked at two shoe stores since then and i just haven't been able to acquire the brand/company loyalty that i had for nine west.
i'm hoping things turn out well at infuse creative. i start monday...i go to the office once or twice a week, the los angeles office about once a month, if that, and the rest of the time i work from home. saWEEET.
