Halloween!!
So, this year I had the fortune to be house-sitting on Halloween and actually in a nice neighborhood, so I got to pass out candy for the first time EVER. The first fucking kid who knocked on the door didn't look like he was wearing a costume, so naturally I asked him who he was supposed to be. He responded, in all seriousness, with Justin Bieber. I want to kill all children everywhere.
In other news, I have had the worst stomach flu I have ever had. The worst SICKNESS I have ever had. I was throwing up for days; I couldn't even hold down water. High, high fevers, that I couldn't bring down with ibuprofen because I would throw up the pills. Aches. Chills. I missed work that I can't afford to miss and I actually made myself go to the doctor, which I haven't done in years. Because of this, the sweet Catwoman outfit that I made went unworn and I spent Halloween party weekend alone, rewatching season1 of the Walking Dead.
I spent most of the night tonight comforting my best friend, whose girlfriend of 2 years broke up with him out of the blue on Saturday night. Apparently things got too serious for her, and she just dumped him. We hung out at the house I'm sitting and drank wine, played pool, and smoked a cigar in the backyard. Some say humor is their defense mechanism...but I don't think I have any other "mechanisms," heh.
And now on to the 10 hour work day tomorrow. *sigh*
