Dir en Grey - Philadelphia, PA - December 9, 2011

Dec 11, 2011 21:30

Anyone who knows me will pretty much tell you that I don't really consider myself a Dir en Grey "fan". I don't know their songs that well (except Uroborus. I know that backwards and forwards) and... I don't know. They aren't in my Top 10 bands list, yet this past Friday was my 7th time seeing them OTL. XD So I guess in a sense.... I do like them. They put on a great show, there is no denying that. That's why I keep seeing them again and again, it's a good show, and because my friends are going. ♥ I go for the performance and to headbang \m/

I was with Kim (Aki) most of the day in Philly and it was great to be at a show with her again! ♥ I love that girl at shows, she's just like me, she doesn't care and will do what it takes to get up front XD I feel like sometimes, the people I go with, I have to "watch out" or take care of them...but not Kim. It's great.

We ended up 2nd row in front of Die....but as the show went on, we were much closer to Kyo XD Ended up directly in front of Shinya ♥ and I was staring at Kyo most of the show... I think he learned some new dance moves, the way he moves his body is amazing.

I have a lot of respect for him. The things he can do with his voice and body is amazing, and the way he expresses himself... it's fantastic. I love it.

Kyo WASN'T WEARING THE TRACK SUIT FOR ONCE!!!!!! I WAS SO HAPPY!!!!!!! He started wearing this nice red leather jacket, shorts with leggings underneath, and boots. The jacket came off, of course. But his outfit was cute. He's such a tiny man.

Die was looking as good as ever. I wish I stayed in front of him to watch him more... and Shinya is just gorgeous, the end. Love him. Didn't see Toshiya or Kaoru much, but Toshiya seemed to be jumping around the stage as usual in his kilt/skirt & leggings~

The crowd was amazing. It was just the right amount of rough for me - I missed that type of crowd. Not too much where I wanted to kill people, not too little. It really was just right. I loved that venue too, it had a nice wide stage. The girl I ended up behind was really tall and moved her entire body when headbanging, which was a bit annoying but we all constantly moved around so it was fine.

I didn't headbang nearly as much as I would have liked, because of being 2nd row...it was easier to just make sure the people in front of me didn't hit me or knock my glasses off, but I did get a few good headbangs in for 2 or 3 songs.

I didn't recognize pretty much any songs, which was fun XD A lot was new, but some were older too...which went right over my head. Ah well. I just enjoy it. I love Hageshisa, always happy to hear that. And I sang along well to The Final! I knew Lotus... and when I listened to the new album on the bus home, I knew which songs they played.

Overall, I think this might have been my favorite Dir en Grey show I've ever been to... o_o The only better one might have been 3 nights in NYC - night #3...but this was a damn good show and I'm so glad I went! Looking forward to NYC tomorrow night - ready to tear up the balcony!! >D I plan to just stay up there and hopefully be front of the baloncy and just headbang like there's no tomorrow \m/

...jerking off the mic. Legit. Making love to it~.

It was great to be able to spend the night in Philly with Kim's friend. Then on Saturday we went and explored Philly! I got to go to Independence Hall, which I probably haven't been to since, like, 5th grade, and we saw the Liberty Bell! It was a great weekend.
