Bite me!

This episode a great example of why I love Supernatural. It's embedded in it's genre as a whole, but in the terms of episodic TV tacks risks, and can achieve something quite amazing in 44 minutes.

"And the fact that Dean is concerned about the latter and not the former observation?

Awesome."

Yeah I had this same thought. Made me chuckle internally. ;)

Thank you! I adored this episode for the same reasons you've pointed to so astutely here! It's a pity many folks on my f-list are pissing on it. :( Their loss, I suppose!

And now I'm curious about this show Chronicle!

Chronicle is a film! And a very good one, too!

I loved it, too. But I really enjoy outsider pov with the guys. Plus, I liked the kids and thought they did a good job of making their story feel real.

I thought this ep was really clever..so many amazing camera angles.
LOVED the bong scene *snickers* and i thought the college kids dialogue was written very well.
Showed how Sam & Dean have grown up and i really don't think Sam would fit in that life anymore, even though he thinks he wants it.
My rating is AWESOME :)

I totally enjoyed this episode. (It was the first of S8 I've seen, and I didn't intend to watch it - since I have to catch up! - but the first few minutes intrigued me so much that I stuck with the whole episode.)

Loved the characters, especially the girl who survived at the end. She was awesome.

And yes, I too, remain traumatised by "Lord of the Flies" (read at about the same age). To this day I hate pigs because of that. I recently read a book with alien pigs and shuddered the whole way through. UGH.
