I was thrilled to find a DL of Attack The Block, because I have heard great things about it and I don't know if its getting an Aussie release.
It's my favourite movie of the year.
Made the the producers of Shaun of the Dead and Hott Fuzz (and Nick Frost has a role in it as a dope dealer) its about kids battling an alien invasion centered on a housing estate in south London.
This is everything Super 8 wasn't - it's imaginative and scary and full of exciting action, it's snarky and chock full of biting social satire. And a kickarse soundtrack.
It's one of those films I think of as perfect, because it exactly achieves what it sets out to do. It's got cult classic written all over it.
