I have so much I want to say about this weeks episode, including trying to work out why the ep hit my damn sadness button so hard. And then they go and put up the director's clips for next weeks episode and Holy Mother of Fandom! Is there some sorta hotline I can ring for support ( Read more... )

MJ! You have no words?! What?! *pokes you* Okay, Shifter!MJ, where's my wifey?

But really, the sadness still gets me, I've seen the ep three times now and every time I get to the end with Sam teary eyed and "maybe I could be saved" and everything? Yeah, I always yell at the screen and tear up my damn self. *is emo over HotH*

And then of course EVIL!SAM!!!!! ... *forgets how to breathe*

So umm ... yeah ... pictures ... umm ... your bookshelves or coffee table or whatever (I wanna see what you read when you're not reading fanfic).

Okay. That is all. Dismissed! *bows out*

I don't think that it helps that due to time diff and downloads, I ended up watching it at 5.30, just as dawn was breaking, when the world was quiet.

I think its their increasing sense of powerlessness that gets me, their fear in facing what is unknown.

will take pics for sharing.

increasing sense of powerlessness

I think that's just exactly the way to define it. Even when they didn't know exactly what was going on, they've tended to have a pretty good set of tools and skills at their disposal for handling whatever was coming their way. They had a kind of confidence in their ability to always rise to the challenge. More and more, though, they're starting to feel like maybe they won't always be able to rise to the challenge. And that's scary for everyone.

*clings like a umm clingy thing*

and - points to icon - why does Sam keep framing it as his "destiny"? Sure the demon has plans for him, but why that make it his destiny? I mean if someone/something else was after him he wouldn't call it that?

Ya know, I think that's a good question. I really think, though, that after seeing Max go bad and Ansom go bad and that electro-guy almost go bad, I think he really just thinks that maybe the call of darkness is too strong and just WILL overcome him eventually. Hence the "destiny" tag.

Seriously, when they get a 3rd season (pleasepleasepleasepleaseohgodplease), I hope the cliffhanger at the end of this season is Sammy going off with the Demon, because ... oh god just ... anyway. Evil!Sam is totally taking over my brain and he doesn't see why everyone wants him to be good when being bad is so damn fun. *gah!*

The mean part of me thinks a bit of Sam likes having a 'destiny' coz it makes him feel special.

Oh you know I so am onboard with Evil!Sam. In the show I'd love to see him all sassy!evil, like Angelus.
