Title: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Author: Mark Twain

Summary: Of all the contenders for the title of The Great American Novel, none has a better claim than The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. More than a century after its publication it remains a major work that can be enjoyed at many levels: as an incomparable adventure story and as a classic of American humor.

My Thoughts: Going to keep this short and sweet, since I just wrote an essay today about the value of teaching this novel in public schools. Basically, it is a necessary classic. But it wasn't always 'fun' to read. I really liked it in the beginning, but the rest was just ok. I think it was all the hype that I heard before reading this book that made me not enjoy it as much. Oh well.

Rating: 7/10
