"All winter-y" or "Them all home"
New Layout! Courtesy of premade_ljs. It's all winter-y. I think it's pretty. Also, I'm addicted to FolkAlley's Holiday Stream. Good stuff - and not your typical sugar-y Christmas stuff. So far, my favourite has been "Christmas in the Ashram." REALLY cool.
Had a good birthday last weekend, including a small get-together with friends and an AMAZING cake. Got some wonderful birthday and holiday wishes from some of you. (nerhegeb, thiscanbegin, xcaged_spiritx, kaite146, youlooksofine, dragon_fall and nosybestfriend, I'm looking at you! Thank you!) One of the stitch-n-bitch groups I go to finally moved location to a friends' glass gallery/workshop. We've only had one meeting there, but it went over real well.
Let's see, what else is going on? Hum, let me think... Oh yeah! For my birthday, I'M GETTING A PUPPY!!!!
We haven't found one that suites our needs just yet. We need a small to medium-sized dog that's good indoors, gets along with other dogs (and hopefully kids, I would like to take the pooch to the park), and Mom needs something that's hypoallergenic. It's not that she's allergic to dogs - at least not yet - but she keeps developing new allergies, and we want to play it save. So I've been looking into a few local shelters. It's very exciting, and heart-wrenching at the same time. All the dogs are so cute; I want to take them all home!
The application processes are really involved, though - and sometimes include a house check! I guess it's a good thing that they want the pets to go to a good home. I'd like to post a picture of the dog once I bring it home. I'm going to be looking at some more tomorrow. Wish me luck!
