Crazy dream last night. It started at what I think was a graduation ceremony. Then, I remember being in a car and I think
nosybestfriend's dad was driving me and a few friends down a very steep incline.
Eventually, we got to this house, and the family there was hosting a sleep-over for one of their kids' sports teams. I think it was a baseball team. It was a large house, but the team was sleeping in tents outside.
I got to know the family in the house, and as it turns out, it was the Duchovny family. So I got to know some of David Duchovny's younger brothers. One of the younger ones was a little developmentally behind. He told me that his room had a hidden spiral staircase covered in green astroturf. I thought he was imagining things at first, but I saw his room and sure enough, a wall moved and there was the green, spiral staircase. There was also a sort of cubby hole in the wall that opened up that he liked to hide in. But when he opens up the wall to get to the space, there's very little space left in the rest of his room.
Then I met one of the older boys, who looked a lot like David, was extremely cute, and closer to my own age (around 32). I got to talking to him, but I was afraid I was freaking him out by telling him how much I used to love The X-Files. Still, we strolled around the family's yard a little bit, even as it started to rain. Then, all of a sudden, there was this...alarm-type thing that went off. It only went off twice, and most people around ignored it. I realized it was a flash flood warning. Remember I said we had to drive down a steep incline to get to the place? Well, any flood would come tearing straight through that area and that we needed to get everyone into the house.
It was quite a feat, getting all those little kids into the house. Plus, with the younger boy's wall taking up so much space, it was hard to fit all of them inside the house. But we managed and weathered out the rest of the storm.
Then I was home and had mounds and mounds of laundry to do.
And then I woke up.
Weird, huh?
Oh, and also, I saw Bob Dylan at the Palladium Wednesday night. Very cool show.
