"That even count" or "Tag for 'friends'"

I can't remember if I've ever done one of those before, but I just did a small friends cut. I removed a handful of lj-ers on my own flist who had already cut me from their flist. I don't hold it against them. Goodness knows my own posts have been sporadic over the last few years. No point in me keeping them on my flist if I'm not going to see any posts from them. Which makes this kind of a pointless post because my friends cut most likely won't affect anyone currently reading this post. Does that even count as a real friends-cut?
