This is Gateshead and the Contemporary Arts Centre
There are many weird art sculptures around that apparently aid Newcastle's attempt to evolve from it's industrial town image into a trendy metropolis.
St Nicholas' Cathedral, where Hadrian's wall officially starts!
Here is a statue of nasty Queen Victoria outside St Nicholas' Cathedral
One cool thing which I like which you might not find that cool is that all over the sidewalk there are little castles in the concrete..
This is the Milennium Bridge which actually tilts to allow ships to go underneath it which is actually really COOL!
....and this is us at the pub! I have now managed to lose that necklace :-(
Another interesting fact about Newcastle, or the people who live there, is that my work colleague has a tendency to hit the keyboard really hard in the manner that people do when typing skills are not their forte, and often when he does this the rhythm is exactly the same of the AAPT ad… “A A, AAP, AAPT Smart chat!” It's very interesting, in MY opinion anyway... :P
