state of the LJ
It's confession time. Baring the soul makes you feel better or whatever. A lot of this is probably going to seem stupid, but airing my dirty laundry (well... vaguely not-so-fresh laundry) means I can move forward.
1) My apologies to all the nice people who have left me comments over the last few months that I haven't returned. I appreciated all your words, but I've been having some kind of LJ-related block in the last... okay, year. I made the decision to stop doing LJ-related things at work, which somehow turned into never dealing with LJ stuff at all. And because I'm me, I developed a complex about it, so it's just been a giant circle of avoidance. Which I am trying to fix! So expect random comments from things from ages ago in the coming days, because I might have a complex but I am also a completist.
2) I'd like to get back into doing LJ-ish things, and writing fic again (or at the very least putting up stuff from my WIP folder that is languishing all alone in the darkness). To that end, and to further separate this from being a "personal" journal (which it never really was anyway), I'm planning to change my journal name very soon. I'm going to do redirecting, or whatever it's called, but if you're a nerd about LJ names or links or whatnot I thought I'd let people know so that they can update bookmarks accordingly or whatever you do out in LJ land when you're actually involved, like I am not. If I can still get it this weekend, I think the new name is going to be festivalofkinks. (Unless, of course, anyone else has a better suggestion!)
3) Panic at the Disco, what is your face. Also, why did I get thwarted in buying a boxed set like A DAY after I decided to buy it. Because I'm a lamer that's why.
