I am currently holed up at my hotel in Amarillo, TX. This is quite possibly the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, cross country driving wise. I'm sure that I've stayed at nicer hotels in the past, but certainly not while doing the cross country road trip ( Read more... )

I went to the grocery store today so when you're here by yourself on Tuesday you don't think "what the hell do these people eat?"

Dinner will be here tomorrow night and then you and I are going out Tuesday night! Woo Hoo.

How long of a drive from Kansas City to Urbana? That's about 90 minutes from here... Any idea what time she is leaving on Wed?

It takes us 6 1/2 hours to get to Urbana. That last hour always seems like about 4 all by itself.

Mapquest is claiming 9 hours. I'm guessing a minimum of 10, factoring in potty breaks. So, if all goes well, 4 or 5 pm.

I'm already on central time, so I won't lose any time heading up to you.

I say 4 or 5, but really you should probably translate that to 6ish. If I'm earlier, yea! If not, at least you won't be waiting on me.
