Comment Policy
[[I keep my friends list pared down to journals that are active, i.e. journals that have not gone over MBP's six week rule. This means my Friends list and my Friends Of list are severely disproportionate. Since this journal is Friends Only, I add back everyone who adds me, but I can't add you back if you don't let me know you are here. I don't bite. Even a simple, "Added" is sufficient, but I can't stand the OCD twitch I'm developing from trying to figure out who the needle in the haystack is when my Friends Of number jumps by one. Civilian Policy

THIS IS NOT THE JOURNAL OF FOLK/ROCK SINGER-SONGWRITER MARTHA WAINWRIGHT.
If you've come here looking for Martha Wainwright, you are in the wrong place. She is not here, and she's too busy taking the world by storm with that honey & whiskey voice and those impossible long legs to ever write an online journal. This is merely a role-playing game in which we live by the rule that imitation is the highest form of flattery. I do not know Martha Wainwright, and I do not know anything about her personal life other than what any fan could find in the papers. Everything I know is public knowledge, and my imitation of her is not intended to defame, slander, or otherwise harm her name or her image. In fact, I admire her so much that I only hope my impersonation can attempt to give the spectacular woman the justice she deserves. Besides, it's good and needed promotion...for free.
In summary, I AM NOT MARTHA WAINWRIGHT, and THIS IS NOT THE JOURNAL OF MARTHA WAINWRIGHT. I do not know her, any member of her family (including but not limited to Rufus Wainwright, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Loudon Wainwright III, Lily Lanken, Sloan Wainwright, and Lucy and Suzzy Roche), or any of her friends or band mates (including but not limited to Teddy and Linda Thompson, Brad Albetta, Cameron Greider, Tom Mennier, Bill Dobrow, Gregg DeMammos, Jeff Hill, Jason Hart, Matt Johnson, and Jack Petruzzelli). None of them. I do not attempt to convince anyone that I am her or that I even know her. Every entry in this journal includes a link to the community disclaimer, and there are disclaimers in the userinfo and AIM profile as well.
This is simply a very big fan attempting to pay tribute to a very beautiful and talented woman. Consider it acting, just on paper. A tenderly-written show woven of love and creativity and pretty words for entertainment and nothing more. Should the real Martha Wainwright ever find the journal and wish it to be closed, I would be happy to respect her wishes and can be contacted via the contact information on the userinfo page.
