Day 07: A song that reminds you of a certain event
So Happy I Could Die - Lady Gaga
So... to set the stage.... it was this past New Year's Eve in Vegas. Morning. As I usually do in Vegas, I woke up early and decided to walk over to the Bouchon Bakery stand at the Venetian to get some pastries.
Now, I was a fan of this song before then... just a great tune about how you need to enjoy the moment - life can go to shit at any moment.
I was so happy.... I love early morning on Las Vegas Blvd when it's just the runners/walkers and the bums and the air is fresh, the temps are good, there is plenty of room to move, going to get some of the BEST pastries on the planet including the cheese danish I would have as a last meal... I listened to this song on a loop both to and from the Bouchon bakery.
And then.... the matzo ball soup for lunch at TI... and the world literally went to shit as the Man and I both spent our "wonderful New Year's Eve in Vegas" - which we figured out was a once in a 7 year chance with the Man's work demands - with the worst food poisoning EVER as we spent time fighting between space to lie out on the bed and the bathroom. The fireworks we so wanted to see? We watched them as we were both utterly spent and near passed out on the bed. Woo hoo.
