Sometimes I wonder, what makes a slasher tick? Do you ever stop and wonder if it's weird to lust after fictional characters and want them to misbehave? The only way I can explain it is that there's also a sexual dynamic between the heterosexual characters, like House and Cuddy, or House and Cameron, or vaguely House and Chase. Yet I don't think PPTH is this hotbed of sexual activity. It's just human nature to form connections and since the staff at PPTH are written to be almost entirely single, (except Wilson and his failing relationships), of course there's going to be a little sexual intrigue (which never happens in my office because we're almost entirely female, sigh).

I also wonder if my fascination with House slash will one day replaced with some other kind of slash, as happened with LOTR and HP slash. It makes me a little sad that I might forget about House slash the way I have other kinds of slash. I still adore Holmes/Watson slash; I first became aware of slash from reading Sherlock Holmes. I just didn't know there was a word for it, until I read about it on the Internet, and then I thought, oh, so that's what that is.

Here's a House/Wilson/Chase fic rec for you " An Honest Mistake," by Acidic_Flower. aggressive!Wilson gives Chase a quick one in the hospital men's room in this sultry fic. That Dr. Wilson certainly is naughty! Prepare to be left breathless!
