(no subject)
Got the caulk problem mostly resolved. Cleaned up the residue and then got dressed and drove to the hardware store for last minute supplies. Stopped at McD's for a frozen coffee treat. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Then I got home and had a major lactose colon 'splosion. Still nursing a stomach ache. Serves me right for drinking that crap.
Anyway.
I just finished the first coat of paint. Did the inside of the linen closet too. It took about three hours. Small room...seems like it would be a quick job but there's lots of fiddly trim to paint around and teeny areas that are difficult to paint. I'm taking a short break and hoping I can go back up there and do a second coat before bed. Unfortunately, it is ridiculously humid right now. So the first coat may not be dry enough to paint over any time soon. Dammit. I really don't want to have to clean all that shit up and then bust it out all over again in the morning. I also don't want the boys to come home to wet paint. So I guess I'll stay up until it's dry enough to do another coat.
So, that's my exciting weekend thus far.
