There some very interesting points being made there under the humor. However social conservatives would agued that is the point - marriage as an institution is slowing being chip away and is in danger of losing its meaning. That gay marriage would just be another way to make marriage mean whatever people want it to mean, that eventually it could mean nothing to no one. I would imagine that anyone who studies human in any field would agree that marriage and a strong family is basis for strong societies. When family breaks down, so goes the society.

However if gays do get marriage, they will have to deal with divorce too.
