Update: I have a sinus infection.
While at the doc today, I learned that the symptoms I was having last week (occasional sore throat and mild sniffles) caused a strange cascade of events that led to my poor sinus cavities being overwhelmed with fluid and assorted other nasties. Had I taken a decongestant then, I might have prevented the full-blown infection. Ah, well. Live and learn! I will be stocking up on Claritin D as advised for next time.
In the meantime, I finished one of my books from last year and have started another. I am also about to write down as much as I can of a short story I dreamt up last week. And then, back to the couch for XBox under the warm, fuzzy blanket.
You know, other than the pounding earache and the scratchy throat, this sick thing isn't so bad.
