Christmas miracles
Finally, an update! And it's happy news too, not just random soapbox rantings =P
Tad and I had originally planned to go to New York for Christmas to see my mom (and, incidentally, escape the usual holiday fiascos with the inlaws). We had some money saved but then he needed new tires for his car and that all went away. Then, thanks to those ungrateful, inbred, rich motherfuckers who lease the skyboxes in the stadium and think it's okay to treat the person who brings their food like shit, I didn't make nearly as much as I should have at my temporary (thank God) second job. So we had to cancel the trip. That made me very unhappy.
Well after football season, understandably, I had a very poor opinion of people in general. But there are really good people in the world. Like my boss, who included a nice little chunk of cash in the Christmas card he gave me. Miracle number one. Then I was getting the bills for the month together and realized I was out of payment coupons for my student loan. So I called to get more sent to me and found out it's in deferral! I thought I had to be back in school full time for that to happen but they told me half time is enough. Miracle number two. And as an added bonus, I was going thru some travel paperwork this week at work and learned that MSU employees get a discount at Enterprise, so I called and made a reservation right then and there!
And the best news of all? Mom says there should be snow for us when we get there! I can't wait to see Rocky's reaction when she gets to go out and play in it =)
