LJ is kinda screwy sometimes
But in other news it was so fucking nice to have a long weekend. I need more of those...
So life is good. This weekend was awesome! It kinda started with a really relaxing day on Friday. I was super tired but I kept steadily busy all day which kept me awake and made the time pass faster. I met Tad on campus for lunch and we skated together. He taught me how to manual and I started practicing ollies again. That resulted in a big buise on my knee but it was still fun!
Saturday I hung out with Tad before he had to work. We laid around in bed a good bit, then went to WalMart and got some supplies for the rest of the weekend. After he left for work I busted ass cleaning and made the entire house sparkle. Even the bathroom and I hate cleaning the bathroom! The place is so close to being done I can hardly stand it! We now have curtains for the patio door and 4 chairs for the kitchen table. Oh yeah! And the plants are all taking off like crazy! Eventually the paint in our bedroom and bathroom needs to be redone, but other than that the only thing that's missing is the entertainment center and a chest or drawers (that can't be moved in until I get my license) and a few things that still need hanging. One of which is the super awesome original The Crow movie poster that we got for our weddinig but there's no way in hell I'm hanging that without a frame and it happens to be an odd size.
That made me feel very accomplished so Sunday, when Tad had to work a double I got to relax in a nice clean house and enjoy my day off. I played D2 and made the nummiest potato leek soup EVAR! I think I must really like soup... Anyway Tad came home for a couple hours between his shifts and that was fun. So fun that I needed a nap afterwards. When he got home for the night we were just kind of lazy and stayed up late reading and playing on the computer.
Yesterday was the best tho! Tad got the day off so we both slept in all super late, which is surprising cuz usually I can't sleep past 8 or 9. We showered and got all packed then took off. We spent the whole day at the lock and dam fishing. We didn't do very well as a whole but I did great for my first time. I got two bites and actually caught one but it was a little one and I had to throw it back :( Tad said it was just as well because I would have wanted to name it and keep it in the cooler feeding it minnows! But it was a super relaxing day. We got back real late but still grilled (cuz you just have to do that on memorial day) and had some beverages.
So now I'm all relaxed at work and the week is going to be a short one. I think I may even manage to not get all worked up about being vultured! And the best news ever is.... Tad is off most of the coming weekend! Happy!
