(I wouldn't be audacious enough to call what I post reviews!) I've been writing in my paper book journal, but hadn't posted anything from it in ages! Whew! Since I post on 6 or 7 sites and the computer or sites didn't always co-operate, I've been at it since some time last week!
I'm now caught up, other than the book I finished today. (Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind Little Women). As I was writing about Louisa May Alcott in my book journal, I realized that when I'm writing in my journal at my little old-fashioned desk, I feel a bit like Louisa May Alcott, or Virginia Woolf! Not that I pretend to have one iota of their talent at all. It just reminds me of how they used to mechanically go about their work. It's certainly nice to imagine oneself in a dusty old garrett, pen or pencil in hand, anyway. Mrs. Gaskell, our cat, was a great aid to the fantasy as she curled up in a Boston rocker near the desk, contentedly sleeping.
