No-one has come bursting into my home to survey the premises, no-one has come to poke their wands between the cushions of the chesterfield and root through the fireplace ashes. Perhaps this is because 23 Cambridge Heath Road was built three-hundred-and-fifty-three years ago by my great great times great grandfather Addolgar Davies, and has been ( Read more... )

I'm currently in some dreadful housing block in Hackney, as well you know, and surrounded by other wizards, so I have nothing to fear from the Ministry Inspectors. However, my contract is almost up, and if I do not get my Kensington flat back I may have to Apparate back and forth from the mudpile back in Penrith. This is not ideal, but then again neither is living in some godforsaken housing block in Brixton. No, I think not, eh?

Intruiging... Peruvian, you say? They could prove most interesting indeed. If it's alright I might drop by this afternoon and have a chat with you and your gran, and take a look at them.

Peruvian and the most unusual blue colour. Most opals that I've seen are black or yellow, with a very common lustre. Mr Angel seemed rather eager to get rid of these, so I can only imagine they're extremely cursed that he's heard all the old wives tales about opals bringing bad luck. Hm, I think Gran may have been the one to start that old wives tale.

Please do come round whenever you like. Gran has become partial to you, I think. I'm not so sure I can say the same for Miles, poor boy.
