So we've established that I'm crazy. I know this. I'm taking 20 credits this semester, but I'm trying to figure out my schedule for next semester. I need to get into TE 100 (since I can't make it transfer), and hopefully I can go over to the Education Department on Thursday and have a nice long talk with them. So that I graduate someday. So right now, my schedule for next semester looks like this:
Teaching Ensembles (3 credits)
Teaching Middle School Music (2 credits)
Musical Analysis (3 credits)
Music History II (4 credits)
Band (1 credit)
Percussion Ensemble (1 credit)
Percussion Lessons (1 credit)
Intro to Teaching (1 credit)
That's currently 16 credits. Then there are other classes that I should/need to take.
For my majors:
Psych of Learning (3 credits)
Intro to Special Education (3 credits) - not sure if I have to take this, going to talk to the ed people about it
Intro to Cognitive Impairment (3 credits)
For gen ed requirements:
Intro to Acting (3 credits)
Intro to Sociology (3 credits)
Intro to Logic (3 credits)
Now. I'm not sure if I can take the education classes without having taken TE 100 and not being in the ed program, so those might be ruled out. That's still 4 classes I have to choose from. Now, I could just pick one of them and have 19 credits, and still be in an overload. Or, I could take 2, have 22 credits (although some of them aren't that hard) and be deemed certifiable. I'm not even sure if I -can- take 22 credits here, but it's worth a shot, I think. Does anyone have input for me? (Especially anyone associated with SVSU and knows more policy than me.) I want honest opinions. Also, know that I'm currently taking 20 credits and doing well in all of them... and still managing to have downtime and sleep. And I won't have to deal with marching band on the weekends.
